The Consequences
By far the worst consequence was being shot by a Taliban man. On her way home from school on October 9th, 2012 a Taliban man hopped on to the vehicle taking Malala and other classmates home from school. He demanded to know who Malala was, and all of her friends looked at her. The man shot Malala on the side of the head also injuring two other girls. Malala was in critical condition, so she was flown to a military hospital in Peshawar. Doctors removed part of her skull to reduce swelling, and then she was transfered to a hospital in Birmingham England. The left side of her face was paralyzed, and she went through multiple procedures before her full recovery. This was obviously a consequence of her standing up for the right of education for woman and children.
